remember Art Linkletter?

saw this in reference to kids' impressions of the war on terror and Iraq and wondered what the 13, 11 and 7- year-old's impressions and memories of these past weeks and months and years are, and will be?

When I was thirteen, men were walking on the moon on TV. But there was also a war, on the box in the living room, that these modern times more and more resemble... and I'm not sure, but it may have affected me...

Update: this from Digby is heartening, and he seems to be my age, too! And they say that the web is "yoot"-oriented...

The best thing about this World Series is the publicity Bob Gibson will get. He was underappreciated among the public at large, although baseball keeners appreciate his mid-60's dominance.

given the handwringing over the distinct possibility that there will be litigation over the election results in more than one jurisdiction, how about this constitutional amendment to Amendment XII:

"In all presidential elections, the electorate shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public tabulation and certification of the vote. In disputed cases that result in eventual appeal to the Supreme Court, the victor shall be determined by which direction the Presidential Possession Arrow is pointing." If it's good enough for the NBA...
